ALL TRAINING PROGRAMS

We offer both general courses and customized training tailored to the specific needs of our clients across various sectors of security.
The statutory minimum duration of the training is six lessons (6 h). It includes training in basic physical use of force techniques, as well as user training for handcuffs and the vinyl baton. The course is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or physical attributes.
Gas Spray Training for Professional Use (5 h) is designed for law enforcement, security guards, event security, ticket inspectors, train conductors, parking enforcement officers, and similar professionals whose work environments involve a heightened risk of violence.
During the course, you will learn the safe and effective use of the expandable baton, as well as the basics of the legislation governing its use. The training consists of theoretical studies and physical exercises. The physical drills provide a foundation for striking techniques, drawing the baton, and re-holstering.
The training is suitable for all security stewards who wish to apply their existing skills in a more versatile and comprehensive manner. While completing advanced use of force training is not mandatory for all stewards carrying equipment, the police may require it for those working in large-scale public events or licensed premises (restaurants).

Participants are required to have successfully completed both the Foundations of Physical Use of Force and Gas Spray User Training prior to attending this course.
The use of equipment for the use of force must be reviewed regularly.

A holder of a security sector business license is required to organize an annual use of force refresher training session for all security stewards, security guards, and temporary security guards in their employ who carry such equipment (or verify that the employee has otherwise completed the required training). The training must be completed within 365 days of the previous successfully passed refresher course. If the refresher training is not completed, the security steward, security guard, or temporary security guard is prohibited from carrying any equipment for the use of force.

- The refresher training includes, among other topics:
- Theoretical foundations of the use of force
- Physical use of force
- Use of handcuffs and the basic baton
- Use of the expandable baton and gas spray (or equivalent exercises)
- Skills demonstrations and proficiency tests for each subject

The objective of the training is to ensure that the security professional understands the principles of self-defense, necessity, and other legal powers regarding the use of force. Furthermore, it ensures they master the equipment they carry and are capable of acting defensively and acceptably in threatening situations based on a comprehensive situational assessment.

The duration of the refresher training is 8 lessons. The training is conducted in accordance with the curriculum approved by the National Police Board. Alpha Agency’s (tai Suomen Turvavalmennus) instructors are professionals with extensive and practical experience in the use of force within operational duties.

Annual use of force refresher training is mandatory for security guards and for security stewards on the payroll of a security sector business license holder.
